The product does not require direct connection between databases, but relies on messaging services such "SQL SOUR as SMTP, MAPI or VIM to replicate changes. Anywher Network Anywhere standalone The consolidated database server arranges the data to be Server Engine replicated into "publications," which are subscribed to by remote users. Replication is handled by message agents Consolidated Remote located at the site of the primary data store and at each Database Database remote site. The message agent periodically packages any changes made to a publication, and sends them to subscribers using, for example, their E-mail system.
